Thibault Benistant, representative of Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2, will unfortunately not take part in the 12th round of the FIM Motocross World Championship in Loket, Czech Republic. This regrettable decision followed a significant accident during the qualifying race on July 15, where Benistant crashed heavily.
Despite putting in an impressive timed performance to secure first place, Benistanta was unexpectedly hit from behind by another driver who failed to hit the brakes in time. The collision resulted in a heavy crash on the starting line.
The 21-year-old talented rider from France, who currently holds second place in the MX2 championship standings, received emergency medical treatment at the on-site medical center. After that, he was transported to the nearest hospital in Karlovy Vary for further evaluation.
Fortunately, medical examinations revealed that Benistant did not suffer any fractures or serious injuries, and he was discharged from the hospital the same night. Despite this positive outcome, Yamaha, in consultation with the FIM doctor, made the difficult but necessary decision to withdraw him from the Czech GP.
