Insiders said Fern, 66, will enter the CBB house for the launch of the ITV1 show on March 4.

The source added: “She wants to show the public another side of her – unscripted and unapologetic.

“She has a lot of stories to tell and she won’t hold back when it comes to her relationships with people like Phil.

“They’re not on speaking terms anymore so there’s no bridges to burn as far as she’s concerned.”

While Fern announced she was leaving This Morning, she did not mention Phil, 61, when thanking the team.

In 2018, they had a tense exchange of messages during This Morning’s 30th anniversary, with Fern hailing Phil and Holly’s Bafta win but claiming she was left off the guest list.

Phil also claimed in his autobiography that they once had a heated argument over a part of the show.

A CBB spokesman said: “All names are speculation at this stage.”
