Sofas This Morning looked slightly different on Monday as hosts Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson replaced regular host Holly Willoughby.
The 42-year-old, who has hosted the show since 2009, was nowhere to be seen when the cameras reached the set and Craig was quick to respond to her absence.
“Holly is free today, she’ll be back tomorrow,” he reassured viewers.

While it’s unclear why Holly is absent from the show, it’s possible the star was simply enjoying a day off after attending the Glastonbury Festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset over the weekend.
Craig and Josie jumped in Dancing on the ice presenter, who has been hosting the show alongside Dermot O’Leary for the past few weeks. Dermot often leads the Friday show alongside Alison Hammond.

Holly’s absence comes amid rumors that BBC bosses are considering inviting the presenter to star on Strictly Come Dancing.

According to MailOnline, BBC bosses want Holly to join the popular show as a judge.

Reports come in the wake of Phillip Schofield’s departure from This morning. Earlier this month, the 61-year-old released a statement explaining that he had lied about an affair with a younger co-star.
Since then, he has given interviews, talking about his television career in the “past tense” and expressing despair over the passing of his friend Holly.

Looking into the camera, she asked, “First, are you okay?
