This three-headed calf’s journey to the world is unique

In breeding time, it was just another day on Gor.don Willner’s ranch west of Davidson.

The calf is being monitored because its mother is pregnant and on the day it was born it was clear that things did not go as planned. Willner nervously reached into the cow and felt one, then two heads. He assumed they were twins.

Dr. Olaf Lipro, chief veterinarian at the University of Saskatchewan, arrived and discovered it was a calf with two heads, not twins. He decided to have an emergency cesarean section, fortunately, the operation went smoothly! Lipr performed the operation on the cow under local anesthesia.

He grabbed his other hind leg and hooked it to the calf’s chain before pulling hard, but the calf didn’t budge. They had to act quickly because time was running out to get the calf to safety. Lipro pulled the shackles as hard as he could. And he couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw it: a three-headed calf!

Everyone was bewildered and shocked by the birth of the baby calf. The three-headed red Angus Criss calf was born at 2am. It weighs 113 pounds and is perfectly healthy!

Davidson, March 25 – Guinness World Records and Ripley’s Believe It or Not visited Davidson last Monday to confirm the birth of a three-headed calf. Without a doubt, it is the most unique calf you will ever see!
