Three people were injured at Disneyland on Monday morning after a light pole fell, CNN reports.
The incident at the Anaheim, California park was reportedly caused by high winds in the area. One of the injured park visitors was taken to hospital after suffering “serious injuries”, the paper said, while the other two park visitors suffered minor injuries.
CBS News reports that the incident happened around 8:30 a.m. PT shortly after the park opened for the day at 8 a.m. According to media reports, Disneyland employees were seen directing guests away from the downed light pole while it was being repaired. The area was reportedly closed to the public for most of the morning.
Disneyland and the Anaheim Fire and Rescue Department did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s requests for comment.

Prior to the incident, the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for coastal areas of Orange County in effect until Tuesday morning. Wind gusts could reach up to 25 miles per hour and potentially “blow around unsecured structures,” including tree limbs, according to the advisory.

In April, visitors to Disneyland Park witnessed another terrifying event when a 45-foot animatronic dragon caught fire during a show. The figure, known as Maleficent from Sleeping Beautyhe was seen breathing fire during the performance before he was unexpectedly engulfed in flames.
“During the final performance of Fantasmic at Disneyland Park on Saturday night, a dragon prop caught fire,” the resort said in a statement. “Anaheim Fire & Rescue responded quickly and the fire was extinguished.”

An initial press release from the California theme park said the fire was likely caused by “a leak of flammable liquid, seen dripping from the mouth moments before the fireball effect.”
The statement added that fire effects will be “temporarily suspended” in select shows “out of an abundance of caution.”
