Tia Mowry Says Dating Is ‘Complicated’ but She’s ‘Not Going Back to Something That No Longer Served Me’

Tia Mowry talks candidly about the challenges of dating.

The Sister, sister The 45-year-old star dismissed speculation about her love life with a post shared on Instagram on Saturday.

“A bad word since stories are created without my consent. Hear it here and ONLY here,” Mowry wrote alongside her photo.

She continued: “Just because dating life is complicated. This does not mean that I will go back to something that no longer served me. It’s like if I don’t book an audition or an acting role NOW, I’m going to give up on my dreams.”

“Please, just stop,” Mowry added. “I’m not that weak. Please continue because I am. Thanks FURTHER.”

Mowry’s latest social media post isn’t the first time jerks star — who finalized her divorce from Cory Hardrict in April — gave her fans a post-divorce dating update.

Last month, she shared a now-deleted TikTok of herself dancing to a Nicki Minaj song with the caption: “When an emotionally immature man thinks he can play you, but when he falls lower, you fall lower.”

“This is a joke (don’t play with me) 😂,” she added in the caption.

Earlier this month, Mowry shared another TikTok, where she admitted that she had struggled while looking for new love.

“When someone asks me about my relationship life,” read the text on the screen as she matched the viral audio saying, “It’s gotten worse. But I feel like it’s going to get worse. It’s gotten worse! It’s gotten worse!”

“Ghosts, love bombing and emotional unavailability, OH MY 😩,” she captioned the clip. “I’m joking, but I’m not joking 🥴.”

Mowry first announced her separation from Hardrict, 43, in October 2022 after 14 years of marriage. The actors have a son Cree (12) and a daughter Cairo (5).

“I’ve always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways,” she wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of the couple. “These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain our friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children.”

She continued: “I’m grateful for all the happy times we’ve had together and I want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we begin this new chapter in our lives.”

Next month, game alum spoke with PEOPLE about how she’s been taking care of herself post-split.

Mowry explained that “it’s all about really taking the time to engage and take care of myself through meditation, through affirmations, going to therapy and really continuing to work on myself and grow.”

“I always say, ‘pursue pleasure,'” she continued. “I really feel like where I am now in my life, I’ve realized that life is beautiful, it’s amazing, it’s a gift, but it’s also very short, and we all have to chase our joy and chase to be happy. That’s really important.”
