Tia Mowry Teases 'What Really Happened' in Cory Hardrict Divorce — and Her Dating Journey — in My Next Act Trailer (Exclusive)

Tia Mowry is ready to stand on her own two feet.

In an upcoming WE TV series Tia Mowry: My next actTia, 46, “embarks on a fearless and fierce journey of self-discovery” following her divorce from Cory Hardrict, according to the official synopsis.

“Tia has always been part of a duo, first as a twin sister, then as a wife…now she’s alone for the first time in her life,” the description continues. “The struggle is real as Tia starts dating again while juggling her acting career, jobs and motherhood. Tia navigates her new normal life, searches for love and finds her happiness along the way with her larger-than-life village of friends and family!”

In the trailer for her upcoming reality show, which is exclusive to PEOPLE, she admits that going through a divorce is “not easy.”

“I got tired of people who think everything is perfect, even though it wasn’t,” she adds. “You want to know what really happened. I’ll tell you, it’s not in the title.”

Tia set her sights on another chance at love, explaining, “I’ve got this beautiful house, I’ve got great kids, but the one thing I don’t have is love.”

However, she reveals that she “never dated” before her relationship with Hardrict, joking that she had Sister, sister character “Tia Landry got more dates than Tia Mowry.”

“I didn’t have any experience when it comes to dating,” she explains and later tells her ex Sister, sister TV mom Jackée Harry, “I just put my foot in, like just tiptoeed into the relationship, and I stopped.”

Jackée responds with some motherly advice, saying, “You’ve got to be out there and have fun. It’s hunting season, kid. Let me tell you.”

Tia wastes no time in partying as she saw a hen party – complete with striptease dancers – in Las Vegas. “What I’ve learned is to just let go,” she says.

He then asks the potential new suitor, “Do you want me to kiss you?” before caressing his cheek.

The actress announced in April that she was filming a new reality TV series that would provide “unrestricted behind-the-scenes access” to her “multifaceted life,” and later told PEOPLE that authenticity is a core theme of the upcoming show.

“What I love about it is that it’s about inspiring women, people in general, when it comes to their transitions in life,” Mowry said on the red carpet at the BET Awards on June 30.

“It’s very raw, honestly, there’s a lot of tears. There’s a lot of laughter. There’s a lot of fun,” she also teased Tia Mowry: My next actwhich she says she has “filmed” and will “come out this fall.”

Mowry’s divorce from Cory Hardrict — which was finalized in April 2023, six months after the couple announced they were separating — will also be explored in the series, as she learns to be single.

“I mean, I want to be authentic. And I’ve put out some of my feelings and emotions on social media, whether it’s Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, but there’s nothing like a reality show,” she said.

“[The show will] to actually dive in and show the world who I am as a person. And I really wanted to do this to share my story,” she continued. “I feel like a lot of people have been creating stories without knowing the story and understanding me and my feelings. And this is my opportunity to use that platform to share my truth.”
