Tina Fey and Husband Jeff Richmond Have Date Night at the Mean Girls Premiere

Tina Fey and her composer husband Jeff Richmond celebrate the movie musical adaptation Mean girls at the premiere in New York. The couple, who married in 2001, co-wrote the screenplay for the 2004 musical theater adaptation of the comedy classic, which Fey also wrote. They are the parents of daughters Alice (18) and Penelope (12).

This is not the first time the couple has collaborated. Fey and Richmond previously worked together in Saturday night live and on Fey’s sitcom 30 Rock. In 2015, Richmond served as executive producer and composer for the Fey-created Netflix sitcom, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

New Mean girls The trailer teases Regina George Renée Rapp and the legendary Winter Talent Show

Original Mean girls follows home-schooled teenager Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) as she navigates her freshman year of high school. She befriends Janis (Lizzy Caplan) and Damien (Daniel Franzese), who convince her to infiltrate and sabotage the Plasticists: Regina George (Rachel McAdams), Gretchen Wieners (Lacey Chabert) and Karen Smith (Amanda Seyfried). Ninety minutes of teenage chaos, mischief and social politics turned the film into a staple of the comedy genre. Now it’s coming back to theaters in the form of a movie musical. Mean girls opens in theaters nationwide on January 12.
