The three-year-old from North Carolina couldn’t wait to start unwrapping on Christmas morning!
On Monday, Scott Reintgen discovered on X (formerly known as Twitter) that his “3-year-old came down at 3am and unwrapped EVERYONE’s presents.”
The accompanying image showed a decorated Christmas tree surrounded by open presents and shredded wrapping paper.
Explaining his son’s “version of events,” the author shared the video and revealed that the three-year-old “wanted to open all the presents so no one would be confused” about what they got.
“That’s his story,” added the father jokingly.

“Just adding my explanation as to why he opened everything!” Scott wrote in his caption. “I must also add: we are not angry. He’s a good kid and that’s a story we’ll tell for the rest of our lives.”
Speaking to NBC News, the father of three, who shares a 6-year-old, 3-year-old and 1-year-old with his wife Katie, said their son “found his Spider-Man web shooters, so he wanted scissors to cuts out.”
He opened “literally everything from the smallest eraser to the biggest box,” Katie added.

“He wanted us to be able to see our gifts so we would know what they were,” Scott told the outlet. “I think he justifiably felt he was doing everyone a favor. It won’t happen again next year, hopefully.”
“Not showing any remorse,” Katie continued jokingly.
Despite the unexpected events, the parents still managed to save Christmas morning as Katie rewrapped the presents with torn wrapping paper so everyone had a chance to open them themselves.
