Tom Hiddleston Praises Fiancée Zawe Ashton at 2024 People’s Choice Awards: ‘None of This Makes Sense Without You’

Tom Hiddleston gave a heartwarming greeting to his fiancee Zawa Ashton at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards.

As Loki star thanked fans and his collaborators on the Disney+ series while accepting the award for best sci-fi/fantasy series of the year, also taking time to acknowledge Ashton, 39.

“Zawe, none of this makes sense without you,” said Hiddleston, 43. “Thank you for your love and support every step of the way.”

Ashton, who also has a recent Marvel role as a villain in last year’s The Marvelsbegan dating Hiddleston some time after they met while starring in a revival of the Harold Pinter play Betrayal in March 2019. The pair sparked romance rumors later that year and have been going strong ever since.

PEOPLE confirmed that Hiddleston and Ashton got engaged in March 2022, roughly three years after they first met, and the couple reportedly welcomed their first child together in October 2022 after she revealed she was pregnant in June and year, according to Vogue.

At the time of the duo’s engagement, a source close to the production Betrayal told PEOPLE that Hiddleston and Ashton had “wonderful chemistry” during their time together on stage.

During his speech on Sunday night, Hiddleston told viewers: “Thank you so much, I’m so grateful for this great honor. It’s such a privilege to receive this People’s Choice Award from you, the audience, the people who we do this work for and who allow us to do what we do. what we’re doing I’m so proud of season 2 Loki as a performer and producer.”

Hiddleston reprized his longtime role as Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the Disney+ series, an offshoot of the character’s final big-screen appearance in 2019. Avengers: Endgame. Hiddleston first played the role of a villain in 2011 Thoropposite brother Chris Hemsworth’s title character on screen.

“I played Loki for 14 years and that journey meant everything to me,” he told Marvel fans. “I couldn’t have done it without you; your passion, your curiosity, and your love for Loki are why I stand here.”
