Tom Sandoval Calls Ex Raquel Leviss Blocking Him on Her Birthday ‘Immature … Petty … Thirsty’ (Exclusive)

Tom Sandoval is not impressed with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss’ choice to publicly block him on Instagram after their months-long affair.

As the former pageant queen turned 29 on Monday, she took the opportunity to reveal that she has cut ties with her ex on social media Vanderpump Rules The costar, who commented on an unrelated Instagram post over the weekend: “Happy birthday Rachel, I really hope you find peace and happiness. I miss you my friend.”

Shortly after, Leviss shared an Instagram Story with a screenshot of Sandoval’s Instagram account, which she had blocked, along with a hot pink sticker with a white “OK, goodbye!”

A few hours later, PEOPLE caught up with Sandoval while promoting his latest reality project, the second season of Fox’s Special forces: the toughest test in the world.

“Obviously, I think it’s kind of immature and petty,” he said of his ex’s Instagram Story, which she shared six months after their affair ended his nine-year relationship with Ariana Madix and set off a scandal that shocked Bravo fans and will continue have relegation in the 11th season VPR. “Announcing that you’re blocking seems a bit thirsty.”

He explained his comment: “I just wanted to send her some love, tell her happy birthday, whatever.”

The co-owner of the Schwartz & Sandy Hotel continued, “I just kind of feel bad for her. i don’t get it i think she really struggles with taking responsibility for her actions and just wants to point fingers and be mad at everyone else. There were two of us in this situation. We both screwed up.”

Sandoval — whose secret relationship with Leviss went public in March — said he wished Leviss “the best” and did not reach out to his former lover to “cause any negativity.”

He explained: “I just wanted to be nice and say, ‘Hey, I hope you’re having fun. I hope you’re doing well.'”

The TomTom bar co-owner also revealed that it was the first time he and Leviss had been in touch in a while, although he contacted her publicist “multiple times” while the cast was filming season 11, which recently wrapped.

“[I did] explained to her what was going on and what was said and really kind of kept them in the loop,” he said. “Even though I haven’t talked to Raquel or Rachel, I felt like it would help her, whether she comes back or not, but I don’t know.”

Sandoval added: “That’s bullshit. We never had any closure. I had a conversation with her that ended up being mostly, ‘Okay, well, we’ll talk to you in the next couple of days,’ and that was that.”

Leviss will not return for Season 11 Vanderpump Rulesshe recently stated that she has “a lot” of regrets and “would do everything differently if I had the chance to go back.”

“I really just want to acknowledge that a lot of people believed in me and I feel like I was a disappointment to those people,” Bethenny Frankel said on her only B podcast last month. “I know there was a lot of trust that was broken between the friendship and the betrayal that happened.”

She added: “I look back on my actions and I am disappointed in myself. That’s not the person I want to be. I wasn’t happy. It really hurt.”
