Tougist confronts a wild leopard as he climbs into a safari vehicle

A close encounter with wildlife is surely every wildlife lover’s dream come true, but perhaps not as close as this Irish tourist.

While hunting in Kenya’s Masai Mara Wildlife Sanctuary, a man was surprised when an adult wild jaguar came too close to him for comfort. The moment is captured on camera and too poignant to watch!

Mickey McCaldin from Igeland was hunting when a group of vehicles encountered the most famous jaguar family in the Masai Mara.

Everyone admires the amazing cats, but some come closer than expected. Unperturbed by human presence, several cheetahs climbed into the car, but one became more curious and jumped straight into the back seat of the car.

Although cheetahs are cute and seemingly friendly, they are only fearless predators, so they can be extremely dangerous.

So, you can guess what your reaction would be if faced with such a wild animal. So it’s no surprise that McCalbdin, who was sitting there, no longer found his reaction. The moment was captured on camera by David Horsey, a good friend of McCaldin’s, who was sitting in front of him.

Horsey, from Mombasa, Kenya, told Caters News: “I’ve lived in Kenya all my life and have never seen anything like this. “He [the cheetah] he’s just not afraid to get close. At first, Mickey was really comfortable, but I think he was quite worried that it might try to sit on his lap. Unlike a domestic cat, you definitely don’t want that.”

Although to McCaldin it seemed an eternity, the leopard left the vehicle after a while. Then, a pack of feral cats stared at the tourists from a short distance, before disappearing into the distance.

Horsey, 62, said: “After he caught Mick.ey, he turned around and looked out of the car for a few minutes. “It just came out later.”
