The man died at the Lidl supermarket after a serious medical incident.
Police officers and paramedics rushed to the scene at a shop in Bishopsworth, Bristol, January 24th.
But the man, who was in the 50s, was declared dead at the scene.
The man’s family has been informed and his death is not treated as suspicious.
The coroner has been prepared for the coroner and an investigation into death will be launched.
Police spokesman Avona and Somemerset said: “At 11.20am on Friday, January 24, we were aware of the medical incident outside the Whitchurch Lane store in Bishopsworth.
“Unfortunately, a man in the 50s was proclaimed a deceased at the scene, despite the efforts of a doctor.
“The man’s family is informed and our thoughts are with them. Death is not treated as suspicious.
“A file is prepared for the coroner.”
A spokesman for the Southwestern Emergency Assistant NHS Foundation (Swasft) added: “On Friday, January 24, we called at 11:14 pm to the incident in Bishopsworth, Bristol.
“We sent one double handcuff to the ambulance, air ambulance, a quick response vehicle, the first response and a team to answer the dangerous area to the scene.”
