CORRIE star Tina O’Brien has been given a week off work after being “traumatised” by a violent fight with teenagers near her home.
The actress (40) yesterday held a crisis meeting with the bosses of the soap opera, who offered her “full support”.

The married mother of two told them she was defending her home against teenage girls who “fell apart fighting”.
And yesterday, she was also praised by the mother of a young man whom she rushed to protect.
Yesterday we revealed how the 5ft 1in star – Sarah Barlow in the ITV soap – fled as violence flared in her cul-de-sac.
Shocking footage then showed him exchanging punches and headbutting the girl – as the actress was also punched and her hair pulled.
Last night a source said: “Tina went straight to a meeting with her Corrie bosses this morning. She told them that there was a victim here, and they accepted it.
“They also think she was traumatized by the incident so they were very sympathetic. Tina was very shaken up and was told to take a week off.”
Tina – who joined the soap aged 16 in 1999 – is said to fear “retaliation” after the brawl in Bramhall, Stockport, on Friday night.
The mother of the 15-year-old girl whom Tina defended claims that the group was looking for trouble after an argument over the boy.
She said: “Tina was quite brave to jump in. Tina is small herself and she defended my daughter, so I am extremely grateful to her.
“You can hear in her voice on the video that she is terrified.

“This also doesn’t look like her, and she’s a really good person.
“I thanked her and I would have done the same if it was my house.”
A friend of Tina said she wanted to beef up security at her £1m home, which she shares with husband Adam Crofts and her two children.
They continued: “Of course, her number one priority is to make sure they are safe and, most importantly, that they feel safe.”
The police are conducting an investigation. Tina’s spokeswoman declined to comment.
