Travis and Jason Kelce Reveal Holiday Traditions: ‘After Thanksgiving's Over, You Put the Christmas Tree Up’

Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce are ready for the holiday season.

Speaking in the new episode New heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, released on Wednesday, November 20, the brothers answered a series of questions from fans – including a query about the holidays.

Asked when is a good time to put up a Christmas tree, Jason, 37, said: “I think Thanksgiving has always been the date.”

“In the Kelce household, Thanksgiving was the day,” Travis, 35, added, to which Jason said, “Yeah, I think you’d better put it on Thanksgiving.”

The retired Philadelphia Eagles center added, “I like the tradition, we’ve never done it at our place, but maybe we’ll actually do it this year, where you put up the Christmas tree after Thanksgiving. I like that tradition, I think it’s very good.”

“Thanksgiving is definitely the top day, it’s the start of the Christmas season,” Jason said. “I’m sitting here advertising Thanksgiving.”

Meanwhile, Travis said he doesn’t want to see Christmas lights in early November.

“Don’t do that to me,” he added. The brothers then agreed that Thanksgiving should exist in its own right, without being overshadowed by the Christmas season.
