Travis Kelce and the Chiefs Lose to the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day

It wasn’t the Merry Christmas Chiefs fans were hoping for.

Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs hosted the Las Vegas Raiders for a Christmas Day game at Arrowhead Stadium, falling to their AFC West rivals 20-14.

The Raiders took an early lead and later shocked the Chiefs by scoring on two Chiefs turnovers in a span of seven seconds in the first quarter. The Chiefs came close at the end, but were unable to complete the comeback, falling to 9-6 on the season.

Kelce, 34, had 44 yards on five receptions. Mahomes, 28, threw a costly pick-six in the first quarter and finished the game with 27 carries, 235 passing yards and one touchdown pass.

Kelce’s usual suspects showed up to support the NFL star, including his father, Ed Kelce. Also in the apartment of the Kelce family was the girlfriend of the NFL star, Taylor Swift. The pop icon, 34, wore a Santa hat and was joined by her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift, and her brother, Austin Swift.

Patrick’s wife, Brittany Mahomes, cheered on the team along with their two children, Sterling Skye, 2, and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, 1.

The win comes after a series of frustrating losses for the Chiefs as they lost to the Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills.

However, Kelce’s jersey sales have only increased since he started dating Swift. In a recent episode New heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Jason Kelce shared that the brothers have the “No. 1 and 2 best selling jerseys in the UK,” and the Philadelphia Eagles center had a certain group of fans to thank in particular.

After both Jason, 36, and Travis agreed it “makes no sense” for their jerseys to dominate across the pond, Jason asked: “Lotta Swifties over there in the UK?”

“It has to be—that’s the only reasonable solution to all of this,” Travis replied, admitting that he also thought his girlfriend was to thank for the sale.

Jason continued: “I think I’m only No. 2 because I think a lot of people in the UK maybe just don’t watch football and go, ‘Oh, I heard this Kelce is dating Taylor Swift’ and happen to buy my jersey.”

“Shout out to Taylor,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end chimed in, before also giving credit to Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, who he said was really responsible for his brother’s jersey sales.

“They are all fans of Kylie Kelce. So they support Kylie, of course,” Travis said.
