Travis Kelce Arrives in Buenos Aires Ahead of Taylor Swift’s Second Eras Tour Show in South America

On the same day that Taylor Swift postponed the second date of the Latin American leg of her Eras Tour due to inclement weather, Travis Kelce landed in Argentina.

In a video obtained by several media outlets including New York Postthe Kansas City Chiefs star was seen exiting a jet at an airport near Buenos Aires on Friday.

Wearing a cream-colored sweater, loose-fitting gray pants and a cap, the 34-year-old tight end was casually dressed for the trip, just three days after teasing the possibility of it on his New heights podcast with his brother Jason. At the time, he said he was headed “somewhere sunny” for his NFL bye week.

Under cloudy skies, Kelce was photographed climbing into a waiting car at the airport.

However, the pop superstar was forced to postpone her performance at the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires and shared a statement on her Instagram Story, saying: “I love performing in the rain, but I will never endanger my fans or my fellow performers and crew.”

According to local weather reports, lightning was detected six miles northeast of the venue around 6 p.m., making it unsafe for the concert to continue.

Since it was the start of Swift’s international leg of her Eras Tour, many suspected that Kelce would use his team’s bye week to attend — especially after he hinted to his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, that he was going “somewhere sunny” in the last episodes of their podcast, New heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.

“Do you have anything you can’t wait to go to?” the Eagles player, 36, asked his younger brother, who had some time off the field after the Chiefs beat the Miami Dolphins in Frankfurt, Germany, the previous weekend.

“I could just say k… that and just go somewhere nice, I don’t know. My skin is really pale so I have to go somewhere sunny,” the tight end replied.

Kelce’s trip to South America in support of Swift is the latest milestone in the relationship as their romance continues to blossom, with the two appearing for each other at important moments. He caught her show (and tried to pass her his number on a friendship bracelet) over the summer, while she was seen cheering in the stands at several Chiefs games during the fall.

The pair first sparked dating rumors when the “Love Story” singer attended the Chief games in September. But that wasn’t until the duo suddenly showed up in New York for the season 49 premiere Saturday night live that seemingly made things official.

Swift, meanwhile, will wrap up her Buenos Aires leg on Sunday, with a postponed third sold-out show.

According to TODAYthe musician told the crowd during Thursday’s performance that “I’m incredibly lucky because the first time I ever visited Argentina you decided to sell out three concerts in the stadium.”

“The fact that we have an audience this passionate, this generous, it’s magical. I heard you camp, which is so over the top. I actually didn’t believe it until I saw the video of you doing it,” she continued, according to the outlet.
