Travis Kelce Details the One Food He Eats Before Every NFL Game: It Gets ‘My Blood Sugar Going’

Travis Kelce has one very specific meal that he likes to eat before every NFL game.

The Kansas City Chiefs star, 34, is a big fan of French toast — something he’s made clear on social media and in various interviews over the years.

Kelce first revealed his love for breakfast food in 2020, during a conversation with Men’s magazine. “On game day, you want to take in carbohydrates, so I have the energy I need to play. french toast [gets] my blood sugar is rising [and gets] low carb,” the tight end explained to the outlet.

A year later, actor Rob Riggle, who was born in Kansas, asked Kelce on Xu (formerly Twitter) what his favorite pregame meal was, to which the athlete replied, “French toast!!!”

Then, in 2022, Kelce told Inside Hook, “Every pregame meal has been French toast and strawberries since I’ve been with the Chiefs.”

Patrick Mahomes eats Doritos ‘every night in bed’ reveals wife Brittany

While Kelce may be a big fan of French toast, his Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes also loves the food he eats frequently.

Last month, Patrick’s wife Brittany Mahomes revealed during an Instagram Q&A that her husband has an interesting nighttime routine.

In one question, a fan asked her, “What funny habit does Patrick have?” to which Brittany, 28, replied: “Eat Doritos every night in bed😂.”

The soccer star, also 28, has been open about his affinity for the Frito-Lay product for years. In a recent TikTok video for GQ Sports, he said it’s a “big bite,” especially at night.

“I always take either a purple bag of Doritos, which I just got. I used to be a cool ranch guy, but now I’m on the purple bag,” Patrick said of the chili’s hot sweet flavor.
