In between scoring touchdowns for the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce is giving back to the city he plays for.
Tight End is teaming up with Kodiak Cakes to distribute 25,000 meals to Kansas City students. The couple will work with non-profit after-school program Operation Breakthrough to donate hot breakfasts.
In 2022, Kelce, 34, invested in a food brand that focuses on breakfast products packed with whole grain protein. In addition, Kelce has worked with Operation Breakthrough over the years through Eighty-Seven & Running, a foundation the NFL star founded in 2015 that focuses on mentoring underserved youth.
His mom, Donna Kelce, also donated the proceeds from her cookie sale at Arrowhead Stadium in December to Operation Breakthrough.

“Joining forces with my friends in Kodiak to encourage the families of Operation Breakthrough is a complete privilege,” Kelce said in a statement. “Together with Kodiak, a brand I love, we will make a significant difference in the everyday lives of hundreds of Kansas City children, and I couldn’t be more excited to do so.”
Operation Breakthrough has programs for children ages 6 weeks through high school. From Kodiak, they’ll get options like breakfast bars, granola bars, pancakes, oatmeal and more. The meals will be donated “immediately,” PEOPLE confirms.
In addition, Kodiak, which counts Zac Efron as its chief brand officer, will supply pantries at Operation Breakthrough locations with student snacks.

Kelce’s friend and fellow Kansas City Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes recently confirmed that fame hasn’t changed Kelce.
“Travis has always been Travis,” the guard said of his teammate, according to NBC Sports on Wednesday. “He’s still Travis Kelce.”
“He will still walk around the stadium and treat every person as if they were his best friend. And he will be like that in the dressing room every day,” he added.
Despite Kelce’s new romance with pop star Taylor Swift, his recent Saturday night live visiting in March 2023and cameo in October, Mahomes explained that Kelce “was himself the whole time.”
