Trevor Kennison, a backcountry skier, is dating Kelly Lawson, and the two share similar hobbies and interests. They never fail to share their great experiences together in the snow and on the road. Kennison was born and raised in Keene, New Hampshire. As youngsters, he and his sister enjoyed soccer, swimming and other activities, but they were always on the mountain.
After high school, Trevor intended to become a plumber, but he quickly became dissatisfied and openly pursued his love. Trevor’s heart and passion have always been in the mountains of Colorado. Trevor and his family traveled west when he was 12 and enjoyed it. So he decided to move to Colorado in 2013. Trevor Kennison, 22, was paralyzed from the waist down in 2014 after he hit a 40-foot jump in the backcountry near Vail Pass, went sideways and landed on his back.
Despite his injuries, he came back and continued skiing. He said the accident had a positive impact on his life. Furthermore, he attended various camps and excelled at the X Games, breaking several personal records.

Kelly Lawson and Trevor Kennison are now in a relationship, as evidenced by their cute Instagram pictures. The couple spends their time comfortably among the mountains and snow. However, the facts surrounding Trevor’s past are unknown. He had a girlfriend throughout the injury, but the relationship seems to be over. Kelly Lawson is his new girlfriend. Despite this, Trevor did not give any details about his partnerships.
Trevor’s life-changing injury
Trevor jumped in and grabbed the lead while snowboarding backcountry at Vail Pass. He unintentionally flipped forward while in the air. Trevor leaned forward, landing on his lower back, not his head. He claims that he was lying in the snow from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. before the search and rescue team managed to get him out of the woods. Despite being paralyzed from the waist down, Trevor continued his love of skiing, returning to the mountain on sit-on skis. Trevor is also an excellent athlete, having performed his first backflip as a sit skier.
Trevor has turned his life around as a public figure, trying to teach the world what it’s like to be crippled and that it’s normal. In addition to being active on social media, he is now involved with the nonprofit High Fives Adaptive Sports Foundation, Darn Tough Vermont, and a number of other groups to spread this message. Trevor Kennison and Barry Corbet collaborated to make a documentary about their struggles after suffering catastrophic spinal cord injuries 50 years apart.

He also credits his sister and brother-in-law for helping him recover physically, intellectually and emotionally from the injury. Trevor has motivated millions to follow their aspirations and passions no matter what. It gave individuals new perspectives on disability that they had never considered before.
