Trisha Yearwood Is Nearly Unrecognizable in ‘Bangin’ Haircut’ and Bold Glam: ‘Those Red Lips Tho!’

Trisha Yearwood is heading into the holiday season with a drastic new look!

“Ending Vegas ’23 with a bang! Special thanks to @goodwillglendastyle for the gorgeous blonde balayage, Ray @wynnlasvegas Salon for the bangin’ hair and @lypservice for the glam. Those red lips!” she wrote in an Instagram post on Monday. “Merry Christmas and love each other.”

The caption was accompanied by a carousel of pictures in which Yearwood showed off her brand new blonde hairdo, wearing a red velvet jacket over a black shirt, black leggings and black boots. She finished off the look with bold red lips.

For comparison, she included a “before” picture, tilting her head down to show the camera her roots while wearing a crimson top, jeans and magenta feather-accented boots.

Yearwood paired the new ‘do with a bold jacket and red lips.

The singer, 59, got inspiration for her golden-blonde hair color from Goldie Hawn in July, but she hasn’t sported such bold, clear bangs since the ’90s.

Yearwood introduced herself to the world with bangs (and perms) on the cover of her self-titled 1991 debut album.

When she’s not singing on stage or cooking on her show Trisha’s Southern Cuisine, Yearwood spends his time fighting back.

In October, Yearwood and her husband Garth Brooks shared exclusively with PEOPLE that they drew inspiration for their marriage from iconic couples of the past like the late Rosalynn Carter and former President Jimmy Carter.

“They inspired us in many ways, in ways you’d expect: humanity, humility, work ethic. But they’ve also inspired us by their example as husband and wife,” said Brooks, 61. “We’ve worked with them for the last 15 years, and you notice right away that they’re bickering about the right way to do things … It works for us, too. !”

The couple, who married in 2005, promoted their involvement in the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project, for which they are helping to build family homes in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“To whom much is given, much is expected. We’re never going to replace them, but we’re doing the best we can,” Yearwood said of the former president and first lady.
