Triumph Daytona 660

Triumph Motorcycles is getting ready to add more 660cc models to its lineup. The company intends to establish itself in the 600cc supersport market after launching the Trident 660 and later the Tiger Sport 660. The next Daytona 660 has begun road testing by the British company, which indicates that the world premiere could take place at the end of this year or possibly early in 2019. The 660cc platform is most likely the foundation for this fully-faired motorcycle because it would enable the manufacturer to lower the overall development cost. Actually, it is evident from the spy photos that this Daytona 660 is powered by the same engine, exhaust, and other cycle components including the front suspension, wheels, and mirrors.

A closer inspection of the instrument cluster finds several similarities to the Tiger Sport 660’s instrument cluster. It’s likely that most of the ride statistics will be comparable to that of the sports tourer. This rider appears to be pretty at ease on the bike and appears to be in general comfort as the seating ergonomics aren’t particularly aggressive. Although this Daytona incorporates more contemporary design elements on the front and side, the appearance is also influenced by earlier Daytona models. The same 660cc inline engine, connected to a six-speed transmission, and close to 81bhp at 10,250 rpm will power the new Daytona 660.

This motor is renowned for both its peak performance as well as its robust mid-range. No information is available regarding whether Triumph will modify this engine’s performance for the Daytona 660. This bike is anticipated to make its global premiere at the 2023 EICMA and then midway through the following year. There is no doubt that the new Daytona 660 will arrive in India, and when it does, it will be the most costly model in the 660cc lineup. Similar bicycle components, such as the Showa 41 mm USD and mono-shock, Nissin brakes, and 17-inch alloy wheels, are used on both motorcycles, the Trident 660 and the Tiger Sport 660.
