Trixie Mattel Trades Barbiecore For Another Toy-Inspired Look: See Her Awesome Accessory

Trixie Mattel is thinking pink again…at least for one night.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race alum arrived at the Vanderpump Dogs Foundation Gala last Friday, November 15, 2024 in a toy-inspired look, but not her usual Barbiecore style. (Her pet name is Mattel, after all).

Instead, the drag performer turned reality TV and YouTube star, 35, donned a white Furby jacket, which she joked was a cheeky choice for a charity event to help save Lisa Vanderpump’s dog.

“Tonight’s all about animal love, and I’m going to say this Furby died of natural causes,” Mattel joked about the animatronic toy that was a must-have accessory in the late ’90s. “His double-A batteries were dying.”

Mattel wore a sparkly sky blue dress that matched the palette of her new Snow Bunny makeup collection. Her signature sky-high, Dolly Parton-style blonde wig completed her winter wardrobe.

“She’s always there somewhere,” Mattel said of the legendary singer.

Mattel also addressed her return to social media after a months-long hiatus.

“When I left social media it was a dumpster fire, and now it’s more like a whole dump.” she told PEOPLE exclusively after her self-imposed hiatus last June. “But you know, my breakup taught me something very valuable—that being active is fun and enjoyable and not worth the stress. Plus, I live on the fun side of the Internet.”

Mattel also assessed how members of the LGBTQ+ community can thrive in a changing political climate.

“Well, you know that thing, like, ‘When they go low, we go high.’ I think it also means hair.” Mattel said. “So, let’s see wigs. Let’s see extensions. Let’s see Bumpits.”

I will never leave the United States, she concluded. “I will fight for everything that matters.”
