Tyler James Williams knows how to make a lot of hats!
In an exclusive interview with people at 10, Abbott elementary Star, 32, he opened the directing of his first episode of the award -winning comedy Emmy, which aired on February 5, and the unexpected challenges he faced with the job.

When asked what it was like to draw all the children’s actors while shooting, Williams revealed that the task was not a problem and admitted: “I would rather work a lot of time with children and adults.”
“Children, as long as you learn how to speak their language, they want to work well,” he explained. “They want to work, their ego are not involved. They simply appear and work their own. It was really great.”
The actor recalled “for a few moments” where he had to get a “crowd of children on the same page” to pull several big scenes. He opened that it felt “really nice” if he could gather all the young actors and “train them in the right direction and show them how to give the levels of things.”
“Also, because [my character] Gregory is pretty light in that episode, I wanted to lean against them for our fourth reaction of the wall breaking. And it was really nice to show them how to do it, “he added.

Williams remembered his own experiences as a children’s actor and explained that many “adult directors assumed that children were working on work experience as any normal child, but actually understand that they were doing a job here.”
“I had this really nice moment with [a child actor named] Lela, who plays Courtney, where I explained to her what her character is doing in the episode, “he said.” I watched her in the scientific laboratory how it starts to follow and find my moments that were not directed and remained in character, even when she had no lines. ”
“You give them a task and show them what they do, you can get some really beautiful things from it, so it was nice to be in that position and it is known and able to give them guidelines that way,” he added.
