Tyler, The Creator Freestyles to Kendrick Lamar's 'Hey Now' in Surprise Christmas Gift to Fans

It’s a crossover of Tyler, the Creator and Kendrick Lamar!

The Chromacopy artist gifted fans this Christmas with a new video titled “That Guy” in which he raps over Lamar GNX song “Hey Now.” He announced the announcement in a post on Xu (formerly Twitter), where he responded to a comment from November asking him to free play along to Lamar’s hit.

“Merry Christmas. had fun with it,” Tyler wrote, linking to the video.

Reflecting on the success of his eighth and final album, Tyler raps, “Hey now, say now, get sticky like a beauty / You’ll never be in charge, you’re a plus one / 300 grand in four days Chromacopy / 12 days golden I won’t even drop the deluxe.”

Clips show him walking down Hawthorne, California, where he’s from, dancing in the streets and showing off his success with a Ferrari and designer clothes. He also included a verse about his surprise appearance at Lamar’s The Pop Out: Ken & Friends concert in Los Angeles in June.

“Little bunny pop out, you saw me in Pop Out / Pandemonium screaming like they let out a rat,” he says.

Finally, the video shows Tyler, 33, with his former Odd Future members Jasper Dolphin and Travis “Tac” Bennett before the cameras fade to black.
