U2 Sends Taylor Swift Flowers to Welcome Her for Dublin Eras Tour Shows: 'Already Feeling That Irish Hospitality'

Taylor Swift has received a warm welcome in Ireland ahead of her Eras Tour this weekend.

On Friday, June 28, just hours before her first show, the “So Long, London” singer, 34, posted a photo on her Instagram Stories showing a bouquet of brightly colored flowers and a sweet note from iconic rock band U2.

“Dear Taylor, welcome back to our hometown…leave some of this alone?!!!!” written by legendary musicians. They signed it: “Your Irish fan club, Bono, Edge, Adam and Larry.”

Swift responded to the band’s letter, writing over a photo of herself: “Already feeling that Irish hospitality!! @u2, thanks for always being the classiest and coolest.” She concluded her caption by adding an Irish flag emoji.

This isn’t the first time a pop star has received a nice gesture from U2. In 2018, for her two Reputation concerts in Croke Park, Dublin, the rock group sent her a bouquet of red roses and a note re-signed “From your Irish fan club.”

The “Karma” singer posted a photo of the flowers and a sweet message on her Instagram page and wrote, “I walked into my dressing room to find roses from @U2 and I WASN’T READY FOR THAT. I LOVE U2 I LOVE IRELAND LET’S MAKE THIS CROKE PARK!!!”

Swift will perform at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin from June 28-30, with Paramore opening each show. Her trio of concerts follows her epic three shows at London’s Wembley Stadium from June 21-23, which brought out all the stars — and even the royal family! — plus her NFL boyfriend, Travis Kelce; only this time he joined her on stage.

During her final performance on Sunday, the pop superstar shocked concertgoers by bringing out her dapper football pro to take part in a “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” outfit change. Wearing a full tuxedo and top hat, the Kansas City Chiefs player let one of Swift’s dancers carry her during the segment.

The surprise moment — which included Kelce showing off some of his signature dance moves — energized the boisterous crowd of Swifties, and even Swift herself “cracked/swooned” over her boyfriend’s stage debut.

After her stop in Dublin, the Grammy winner will next visit Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich for her July performances. According to Swift’s confirmation, the full-length Eras tour will finally wrap up in Vancouver in December.
