Uber goes wild with its latest release!
The ride-sharing giant is introducing safari day trips from Cape Town, South Africa. they announced on Monday, September 30.
The launch, part of their limited-edition “Go Anywhere” program, follows several other off-road adventures, including Uber hot air balloons in Cappadocia, Turkey in 2023 and Uber boats launching in Greece before expanding to Italy and Spain.
The Uber Safari will be a full-day trip departing from Cape Town to Aquila Private Game Reserve, a wildlife reserve about two hours’ drive from the city. Upon arrival, guests will transfer from a typical ride-sharing vehicle to a traditional safari truck and set off in search of the famous Big Five – elephants, rhinos, lions, African buffalo and leopards – in the wild, as well as a host of other wildlife.

While many traditional safaris are one-off trips that require a multi-night stay in a remote and often expensive luxury camp, Uber’s offering is intended to be much more affordable for the aspiring traveler — and extremely economical with a flat fee of just $200 for up to four guests.
The cost includes transportation to and from the reserve from Cape Town, the safari itself, lunch and a champagne toast at Aquila, as well as free time with access to their property.
