He was born into a Hindu family. His father, Rajiv Singhal, was an editor and publisher of Indian Fine Wine & Champagne. His mother, Ritu Singhal, was a distributor and hotel supplies supplier for Bernardaud. His elder brother, Suchet Singhal, also studied at University College London.

In 2017, he founded a web development company “US Studio”. In 2018, he founded the environmental project “Glass2Sand”, focusing on the growing menace of glass waste in Delhi and working to prevent glass bottles from being dumped in landfills. In September 2020, he was selected by the United Nations as one of the 17 global “Sustainable Development Goals” Youth Leaders in 2020.
