STORM Ciaran has battered the coast with huge waves and 98mph gusts – Britons face a life-threatening warning tomorrow.
The Met Office continues to warn much of the country of extreme weather conditions sweeping across the country – with a life-threatening warning issued earlier today.

With most of the UK covered by warnings since the weekend, some areas have since been issued with yellow warnings.
The Met Office has just urged those in Cornwall and Devon to take extra care this evening as a storm approaches.
Satellite maps show a frightening band of orange and red weather patterns moving towards the coast in the coming hours.
“Heavy rain associated with #StormCiarán is now spreading into parts of Cornwall and Devon,” a Met Office spokesman added.
“Be careful if you’re out tonight.”
It comes as a possible threat to life will affect the south coast of England and towards Wales on Thursday.
It is set from 6 am tomorrow until 8 pm the same day.
But the Met Office warned that Storm Ciaran would make landfall on Wednesday night.
A red wind warning has been issued for Jersey from today.
Everyone in the Channel Islands is being advised to “avoid outside activity” – leaving supermarket shelves empty as people stock up.
Snow also fell in Glenmore in the Scottish Highlands as workers were forced to fight through a blizzard.
Passengers were forced to queue on the Gatwick Express in London Victoria this morning after trains to Gatwick and Brighton were cancelled.
A Met Office spokesman said: “The low pressure system that is Storm Ciarán will begin to bring increasing winds and heavy rain to the south west of the UK from tonight.
“The strongest winds and associated amber wind warnings will continue into the early hours of Thursday throughout the day.”
It comes as wind gusts are expected to reach 90 mph in some parts.
Heavy downpours have drenched Britain, with up to 100 meters of rain expected to fall from Wednesday to Friday.
As we approach the end of the working week, conditions will begin to ease with just one yellow warning for rain currently in the north of England, reaching parts of Scotland.
The “deep area of low pressure” brought by Storm Ciaran saw conditions drop to -4C in Scotland on Tuesday night, while southern England experienced temperatures of 4C.
The Environment Agency has previously issued 136 flood warnings and alerts.
Kate Marks, head of the flood service, said: “Significant surface water flooding is possible but not expected in south east England today and minor impacts from river flooding are likely.
“Further significant flooding impacts are possible from Wednesday to Friday in response to rain from Storm Ciaran.
“We are advising people to stay away from swollen rivers and urging people not to drive through flood water as just 30cm of flowing water is enough to move your car.”
It comes after a severe weather event was declared at the weekend when strong winds hit Littlehampton and Wick, West Sussex.
A tornado roared through the area on Saturday night – knocking the roof off a house and damaging gardens.
One person on the property was taken to hospital due to shock.
Fortunately, there are no reports of injuries.
Tornado and Storm Research Organization (TORRO) investigators were called to the coastal town on Sunday where it was categorized as a T4 tornado.
The T4 has the power to cause serious damage, uproot and break trees, carry debris up to 2 km and even pick up cars.
South Tyneside residents have been warned to stay away from the coast after a dramatic cliff fall at Marsden Bay.
A desperate search at sea was launched on Sunday for a man who was last seen diving in choppy waters off a pier in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, at around 4pm.
It is learned that the man, who is still missing, was trying to save the woman and her dog.
And on Monday, the couple was spotted desperately holding on to their lives to keep from being swept away by the sea.
The pair were knocked off their feet and dragged into the water in Staithes, North Yorks in terrifying scenes.
