Universal Orlando Resort has announced the opening date of Epic Universe!
The long-awaited new theme park will open on Thursday, May 22, 2025, Universal announced in a press release on Thursday, October 17.
Tickets for the resort’s fourth park will go on sale next week. Select multi-day tickets and vacation packages that include access to Epic Universe will be available on Tuesday, October 22nd, while Universal Annual Passholders will have the opportunity to purchase single-day tickets starting Thursday, October 24th.
While the resort has yet to announce an exact date when single-day passes will be available to the general public, they note that they will “go on sale in the coming months,” according to the post.

Epic Universe will feature five immersive themed worlds for guests to explore, including Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk and Dark Universe.
The resort’s Universal Helios Grand Hotel, which has 500 rooms and incredible views of Epic Universe, will also offer its own entrance to the new park just for hotel guests.

“This is such a pivotal moment for our destination, and we are thrilled to welcome guests to Epic Universe next year,” said Karen Irwin, president and COO of Universal Orlando Resort, in a statement included in the release.
Irwin continues, “With the addition of this spectacular new theme park, our guests will embark on an unforgettable vacation experience with a week of excitement that will be nothing short of epic! Our universe will never be the same.”

Universal Orlando Resort first teased the new theme park in August 2019 with a post on X (formerly Twitter) that read, “This is a big deal,” along with a promotional photo. A week later, he revealed the park’s official name and concept art at a press conference.
Epic Universe will offer more than 50 attractions, entertainment and dining options, and shopping experiences. It is the fourth theme park joining Universal Studios (the original park), Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay Water Park.
