POLICE today released the latest information on their investigation into the death of tragic ice hockey star Adam Johnson.
The Nottingham Panthers star, 29, died when he collided with rival Matt Petgrave in a freak accident in October.

The following month, a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.
South Yorkshire Police today confirmed he has been released on bail again while their investigation continues.
A spokesman said: “A man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of hockey player Adam Johnson in Sheffield has been released again.
“Adam, aged 29, was seriously injured during a match between Sheffield Steelers and Nottingham Panthers on October 28 last year.
“Unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead at the hospital. An autopsy confirmed that he died as a result of a neck injury.
“The man was arrested on 14 November on suspicion of manslaughter and later released on bail. He was re-released today until 25 April 2024.”
Video clips show Petgrave’s leg being lifted into the air after he was knocked off balance moments before the horror.
Around 8,000 fans watched in horror as Johnson lay broken on the ice at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena.
He received first aid while the players protected him before he was taken to hospital.
An inquest into his death earlier heard how Adam’s fiancee Ryan Wolfe identified his body after he died in hospital later that day.

A full inquest has been adjourned until January 26, 2024, while the investigation into his death continues.
Tragically, Johnson reportedly got engaged to partner Ryan during the summer before his death.
On Monday morning, she shared a picture of the hockey player on Instagram.
Ryan said, “My sweet, sweet angel. I will miss you forever and love you always.”
