Usher is in the game and now he’s helping bring roller skating to Las Vegas.
Months after the Grammy-winning R&B star, 45, showed the world his favorite pastime on stage at Super Bowl LVIII in February, now Flipper’s World, the brand and skating experience company he’s partnered with, will get his time to shine in Sin City.
Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace, a full-service roller skating venue is heading to The Venetian Resort Las Vegas in November, taking over Tao Beach Day Club for a multi-month winter residency through 2025.

The 47,000-square-foot Tao Beach will soon be sand-free and will feature a 3,250-square-foot ice rink that will cover the venue’s two pools. It will be roller-skated from Thursday to Sunday from 12:00 to 20:00, open to all ages, and a special program is planned for people over 21 years old.

The brand’s statement continues: “Flipper’s is known for creating inclusive spaces in harmony with our vibrant community and a curated lineup of top artists and DJs who bring the joy of roller skating to life – whether you’re on skates, in sneakers or just out for fun.”

Co-founded by models Liberty Ross and Kevin Wall in partnership with Usher, Flipper’s World describes itself as “a global lifestyle brand rooted in the joy of roller skating that creates skate-inspired apparel and immersive experiences around the world through its Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace banner.” The main venue is in London, although one-off events are often held across the states.

The brand’s star-studded pop-ups include Usher’s Super Bowl after-party in collaboration with Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop, who performed for the skaters just before Usher was spotted partying with wife Jen Goicoechea hours after they secretly tied the knot.

“No matter the city, if there’s a rink nearby, I’m there,” the star said of his love of rollerblading, one of his favorite things to do as a teenager growing up in Atlanta. These days he highlights skate culture in all his shows.

In November, the star is expected to help open the Flipper’s World festivities in Vegas, where he previously held his hit residency, and will soon return to his sold-out concerts. Usher: Past, Present, Future tour.
