He belongs to a Kayastha Hindu family. His father, Dr. Rajeev Kumar Saxena, is a renowned ophthalmologist from Gorakhpur. His mother, Usha Kiran Saxena, holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. from MS University, Vadodara and currently works as a freelance health consultant. He has a younger brother, Utkarsh Saxena, who is a doctor.

In 2009, Vaibhav composed music for legendary ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas for an album titled “Shabad” released by Times Music. The album contained semi-classical music compositions and featured “Shabad” from Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

Vaibhav made his Bollywood debut with the song “Iltija” from the film Lanka (2011).

He gained immense popularity with two crossover singles, You And Me (Teri Galliyan) in 2014 and Without You (Soch) in 2015. Both the songs were released by T-Series, one of the largest music labels in India.

Vaibhav Saxena is also a member of the Indian fusion band “Sumiran”. The band has its roots in classical music and modern sounds, perfectly blending youthful enthusiasm with a modern touch, which not only caters to the class, but also is loved by the masses, especially the youngsters. In 2018, his song “More Saiyaan” was warmly received by the audience and artists such as Sonu Nigam, Papon, Nana Patekar and R. Madhavan praised it.

As a singer

Vaibhav Saxena made his debut with the T-Series single “Without You Soch” (2015), in which he composed and sang the English part, while Hardy Sandhu lent his voice for the Punjabi part.

As a rapper

In 2019, Vaibhav made his debut as a rapper with the dance single “Akhiyaan Vich” with Punjabi singer Ashok Mastie. Vaibhav also wrote and produced the reggae dance track and sang the English part.

The music video shot in Goa was released by Zee Music Company and has been viewed over a million times in two weeks.

As an actor

Vaibhav has also appeared in various music videos, playing the role of guitarist in the 2014 song “You And Me (Teri Galliyan)” and the narrator in the 2015 music video “Without You (Soch)”.

Vaibhav played guitar as a member of the band in the song “More Saiyaan” (2018). Vaibhav has been a judge for Radio city’s famous radio singing competition “Supersinger”. Vaibhav has been invited to be a music judge for various singing competitions in Delhi NCR. In 2018, Vaibhav was invited to judge the AIIMS Got Talent show at AIIMS-New Delhi.

In 2019, Vaibhav collaborated with popular singer Shankar Mahadevan to sing the national anthem “Chal Nikal Taiyaar Ho Ja” for the National Disaster Management Authority of India.
