Hollywood legend Val Kilmer died at the age of 65 after a long health battle.
The star of Batman and Top Gun passed away on Tuesday in Los Angeles after suffering from pneumonia, his daughter announced.

Kilmer became the name of the household when he played a pilot of combat Tom “Iceman” Kazansky in the Top Gun, along with Tom Cruise.
After finding success in a beloved classic, Kilmer continued his biggest role in Batman in Batman Forever.
In the 1995 superhero fly, he took over Jim Carrey as Riddler and Tommy Lee Jones as two faces.
He also played huge roles to play musician Jim Morrison at the door, as well as acting in True Romance, Heat and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Star daughter Mercedes, 33, told the New York Times that her father had died surrounded by his family and friends.

Kilmer’s last career role saw him to return to the top Gun franchise, where he first found global success.

In 1988, he played a major role in Willow, along with his ex -wife Joanne, before starring in a series of hits in the 90s.

The official Upper Gun X also announced the account: “The memory of Val Kilmer, whose indelible cinematographic sign covered genres and generations. RIP Iceman.”
Goonies star and avenger Josh Brolin also announced a touching tribute to his close friend, with the firing of a couple who smiles.
It read, “See you, my friend. You will miss you. You were smart, challenging, brave, uber-creative firecracker.
“There are not many of them. I hope we will see you up in heaven when I eventually get there.
“Until then, amazing memories, beautiful thoughts.”
Matthew Modine, a star full of metal jackets and Stranger Things, also led himself to X while he wrote: “Rip Val Kilmer. If it was not our random meeting at the 1985 source, I may never have been thrown into a full metal jacket. Thanks, Val.”
Director Michael Mann also shared honor.
Sharing my message from the Hollywood reporter, he said, “While I worked with a wave on Heat, I always admired Domet, a great variability in a strong current of the wave of possession and expression of character.

Val Kilmer remained using an electronic voice box and feeding pipes after boldly fighting cancer before being 65 years old.
The legendary actor began the battle of Cancer in the throat in 2014 and later underwent chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.
This heavy battle forced him to step down from the Hollywood reflector for many years after appearing his last public appearance on the red carpet in 2019.
After being subjected to radiotherapy and chemotherapy in its fight against cancer, the star also had a 2015 tracheostomy to help him breathing.
This procedure permanently damaged his vocal cords and left the voice of the iconic actor forever changed.
Kilmer would cover the neck of the scarf after surgery, and he used to talk about how he had to use an electric voice box on an artificial hole in his throat so he could speak.
In the sincere documentary film Amazon Prime called Wave, Top Gun and Batman Forever Star said, “I obviously sound a lot worse than I feel.
“I can’t speak without turning on this hole [in his throat]. “
Kilmer’s health battles
In the open documentary film Amazon Prime called Val, the open and honest Kilmer spoke about life with throat cancer and the problems that came after his recovery.
They included the use of an electric device called a voice box on an artificial hole in the throat to talk.
Said at the time: “Obviously I sound a lot worse than I feel. I can’t talk without turning on this hole [in his throat]. “
The actor, who also had to me meals through a feeding tube, explained some other challenges he faced.
“You have to decide to breathe or eat. It’s an obstacle that is very present with anyone who sees me,” he added.
Kilmer previously described in detail that he was not aware that he had a throat cancer until one day he had cooked “coagulated blood.”
This led him to quickly call an ambulance before he left.
