In 2009, Varinder Singh Ghuman won the Mr. India competition and finished second in the Mr. Asia competition. In 2011, Valinder won the Australian Amateur Championship and competed in the Australian Grand Prix, thereby earning his International Federation of Bodybuilding and Bodybuilding (IFBB) professional card. Later, Guman was spotted by Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and hired him as a brand ambassador to promote his health products in Asia. In an interview, Goodman talked about his trip to Spain for a competition, where he met Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold further shared his excitement as he took to his social media to promote Ghuman’s Bollywood film. He said,
I met the star during a trip to Spain for the Arnold Classic Bodybuilding Championships. I was at the top of the competition and Arnold was happy to see my body and I was the tallest bodybuilder in India. I’m proud to be on the radar of such a big Hollywood actor. He had never promoted any Bollywood film before this. I think it was his blessing that he posted my poster on his account. ”

Varinder Singh Ghuman made his acting debut in the Punjabi film Kabaddi Again (2012), in which he played the role of ‘Shingara Singh’.
