Vasanth Kumar Ravi was born on Thursday, January 1, 1981, in Chennai (42 years old; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Capricorn.
He studied at DMI St. John’s International Boarding School and AMM Matriculation High School in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He developed an interest in acting while pursuing his Bachelor of Medicine in Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai. However, his family opposed his decision. One of his friends, Gopi, encouraged him to pursue a career in acting and during his MBBS internship, he applied to Anupam Kher’s acting school in Mumbai. In 2010, he was selected and did a diploma course in acting there. Later, he took acting courses at Mindscreen Film Institute, Chennai. In 2011, he obtained a Master’s degree in Healthcare Management from Union Manchester Business School, Manchester, UK.

- After his internship, he took acting courses at Anupam Kher Acting School in Mumbai. After completing the course, he began auditioning for various acting projects. He then met Indian film producer Rajiv Menon, who invited him to join his institute for acting courses, where the team of Indian theater company Koothu-P-Pattarai was teaching the course. Vasant agrees. He said in an interview that he wanted to be an actor, but his family wanted him to study for a master’s degree, so he told his family that he would work in medical management in Manchester, England. While in the UK, his study visa was cancelled, so he had to return to his country to work. While he was working in India, Indian film director Ram approached him to shoot a film.
