According to documents seen by Moneycontrol, he recently came under the spotlight for buying a 2,160 square meter bungalow at Delhi Golf Links for Rs 160 crore. The surface of the plot of the bungalows is 1,806.35 square meters, while the covered surface of the entire building is 1,869.7 square meters.
Moneycontrol reported that the Rohatgi family paid a fee of Rs 6.4 crore and the registration process was completed on February 24. He joined forces with the former Attorney General of India, Gopal Subramaniam, to build a luxury home in the most prestigious part of Delhi.
Subramaniam bought a bungalow worth Rs 85 crore in the Sundar Nagar area of Delhi last year. Mukul Rohatgi served as the 12th Attorney General of India from 2014 to 2017. He was also offered to continue in that role but declined and was replaced by KK Venugopal.
