Vetri Duraisamy is an Indian film director and wildlife photographer. He came into limelight in 2024 after he went missing after the car he was traveling in with his friends fell into the Sutlej river in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh.

- In 2024, after his car fell into a river in Himachal Pradesh, local police said they found some body parts on the banks of the Satluj River. Top Himachal Pradesh police officials mentioned that they found something that looked like a human brain and it could belong to the missing man. Police said neither the rescued person nor the driver of the dead car suffered head injuries, leading them to believe that the missing man, Vitri, may have died.
