Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge Sparred over ‘the Truth’ About Teddi Mellencamp Before Explosive WWHL Comments (Exclusive)

It seems like Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson will always have different opinions about Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave.

When Tres Amigas — including Judge, Gunvalson and Shannon Storms Beador — spoke with PEOPLE on Saturday at BravoCon 2023, the 61-year-old The Real Housewives of Orange County alum revealed that she and Mellencamp Arroyave, 42, have yet to bury the hatchet.

And they certainly didn’t later that weekend when Andy Cohen invited Gunvalson and Mellencamp Arroyave onstage to “Squash That Beef” during Watch what’s happening live‘with BravoCon live Special “Dynamic Duos”.

On Saturday’s recording BravoCon live episode (which aired Monday night on Bravo). Cohen wondered if Gunvalson’s resistance to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills The alum came out of jealousy over her close friendship with Judge, 56. But Gunvalson shot back: “Look, I can share my friends, I’m not that kind of girl.”

Gunvalson explained, “We can go way back in time — I’m going crazy about it — one of the things you said was, ‘Where was I on January 6th?’ Her voice escalated as she explained that she had “proof” that she was at her apartment in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico — and not at the Capitol riots as her enemy had implied.

“Why the hell would you ask me where I was on January 6th?” Mellencamp asked Arroyave angrily.

“Here’s the thing, Vicki,” the ALL IN founder replied, “I was trying to give you some grace. At first I thought maybe you were just having issues between me and Tamra because we’re such close friends. Then I realized you were probably it was just started by someone who actually has cancer.”

“That’s so disgusting, you’re disgusting,” Gunvalson said. “I have no respect for anyone who would say that to me. How dare you. Buh-bye!”

“We’ll leave it there,” Cohen, 55, concluded.

Before that, Gunvalson told PEOPLE that whenever her paths cross with Judge’s Two T’s in a capsule co-host, the moment is usually fleeting but full. “I’m just saying ‘Hi,'” Gunvalson reported in aa terse way. “That’s it, I’m fine.” (She even reminded Judge of the run-in earlier that week at the network’s fan convention in Las Vegas: “She was with you and she was standing there and I said ‘Hi Teddy’ and I said hello to her husband.”)

But Gunvalson clearly already had Mellencamp Arroyave’s insinuations about the rebellion at the top of her mind, adding, “When she asked where I was on January 6th — that’s pretty much a no-gloves thing.”

The judge was quick to defend her friend, insisting that Mellencamp Arroyave only fought back when Gunvalson “went on her first.”

When Gunvalson denied starting the fight, Judge doubled down, prompting the founder of Coto Insurance & Financial Services to cut the conversation short: “You’re going to defend Teddy no matter what, so it doesn’t really matter.”

She added, “Why isn’t he defending me?”

The judge replied: “Because I am defending the truth.” You were the first to go after her.”

As any Bravo fan knows, “The OG of the OC” may not be able to start something, but he’s sure to finish it — and that’s what happened on set this weekend.

Reactions on set were mixed following Mellecamp Arroyave’s explosive comment, who has been open about her journey with skin cancer since March 2022.

It’s clear Mellencamp Arroyave believed her own experience with treatment gave her a bulletproof opportunity to mention Gunvalson’s ex Brooks Ayers, who claimed to have been diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2013.

Ayers’ account of the trip raised suspicions among Gunvalson’s and Judge’s co-stars — especially Meghan King, who persistently sought to find the records (or lack thereof) to disprove him.

Two years later, Ayers admitted to falsifying medical records from City of Hope Cancer Hospital, which he had originally presented in an attempt to prove his diagnosis. (At the time, a hospital spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE that City of Hope “did not provide any cancer treatment to anyone named David Brooks Ayers.”)

Gunvalson has long maintained that she was simply a victim of Ayers’ lies and eventually founded a charity called Kill All Cancer to “prove to the skeptics who said I was involved or lying that I had nothing to hide. Period.”
