In 2015, during the promotions of the film Bombay Velvet, Vikas Bahl was accused of sexually assaulting a female member of his team. The woman said Barr insisted on taking her back to her hotel room late at night after the movie party and pretended to be drunk on the bed. She claims she was soon woken up and found Barr masturbating on top of her. This eventually led to her resignation. She told her story to Anurag Kashyap, but it took two years before the matter was taken seriously.
Kangana Ranaut’s accusations

I often scolded him. He was scared of me, but every time we met, greeted socially, or hugged each other, he would bury his face in my neck, hold me tight, and breathe in the smell of my hair.
