In 2006, Vikas made headlines for reportedly throwing a tantrum on the sets of SAB TV’s TV show Left Right Left. Some sources revealed that he had unnecessary arguments with his female co-stars and that filming came to a standstill on several occasions due to his demands and temper. A source revealed that while shooting for an important sequence, the production house asked Vikas to wear a specific outfit, but he refused to wear it and asked to wear an outfit of his choice. Later, the producer did not meet his request, so he had to use the designated costumes for filming.
File an arbitration application against the program producer
In April 2008, Vikas Manaktala filed an arbitration application in the Bombay High Court against Tony Singh, the producer of his debut show Left Right Left, and Dee Deeya Singh, who owns the production company DJ’s Creative Unit. In his petition, Vikas claimed that in May 2006, he signed a one-year contract with the production company of the TV series “Left, Left”. His contract was renewed in May 2007, but he has not been asked to film since November 2007. Vikas claimed that he was bound by the contract and could not work with other production houses. Furthermore, he also accused the producers of not paying his dues of around Rs 28 lakh. On May 6, 2008, the court issued a notice in Vikas’ favor, allowing him to collaborate with other production houses.
Feuding with co-star Aishwarya Sakhuja
In 2014, after the show “Main Naa Bhulungi” on Sony TV aired, there were reports of constant quarrels between Vikas Manaktala and Aishwarya Sarkozya. According to some sources, their dispute left Aishwarya helpless and even decided to quit the show. Not just Aishwarya, Vikas also had issues with his other co-star Nigar Khan. A source from the set spoke about his behavior on set and said:
For a long time, Vikas could not find a job because of his attitude and unprofessionalism. Years later, some people expected him to be a different person, but in vain. He continued to lose his temper. He tried to coach Nigar on how to act out her scenes, but it didn’t satisfy her. Some unit members quit the show because of him. He was so demanding that he refused to take regular showers after a swimming pool shoot. Instead, he paused filming for four hours and went to a nearby hotel to see if there were showers. ”
Clash with partner Niti Taylor
In April 2017, Vikas reportedly had a heated argument with his TV show “Ghulam” co-star Niti Talyor. According to sources, Nitti was unhappy with the makeup artist’s work and Vikas agreed to share the makeup artist with Nitti. However, the make-up artist got to Vikas first as the upcoming shots were to be shot on him, which made Nitti quit the set as she found it insulting.
