Vikas Singh is an Indian contractor, social worker and politician known as the Baahubali leader of Ayodhya. He was arrested in June 2023 for helping associates of feared gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Vikas Singh was born on November 23 in Deoghar, Ayodhya (then Faizabad), Uttar Pradesh, India. His zodiac sign is Sagittarius. He studied till class 12th at Shyam Sundar Saraswati Vidyalaya Inter College, Ayodhya. He received his PhD from Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya. He later connected with many local politicians in Ayodhya. Later he also ran a contract business.

In the 2000s and early 2010s, he had been associated with local leader and MLA Abhay Singh in Ayodhya. Later, they parted ways due to some differences and Vikas joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is very close to the BJP politician Indra Pratap Tiwari, also known as Kabu Tiwari. In the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, he campaigned for Aarti Tiwari, wife of Khabbu Tiwari; however, she lost the election.

Arrested in June 2023
On June 20, 2023, notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was arrested from Delhi and a case was registered under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) after he revealed his name during interrogation. It was later revealed that Vikas provided shelter to several members of the Bishnoi gang. Faizabad residents Deepak Surakhpur and Divyanshu allegedly attacked the Punjab Intelligence Headquarters in Mohali in May 2022. They later stayed at Vikas’ residence in Deogarh village and his apartment at 77/04 A Block, Gomti Nagar Vistar, Lucknow, for several years. many days. The two were also involved in the murders of businessman Sanjay Biyani from South Germany and Rana Kandhowalia, a businessman from Punjab. Surakhpur was allegedly introduced to Vikas by Bishnoi’s friend Vicky Middukhera. Vikas also allegedly provided shelter to Linku, another accused in the Khandwaliya murder case. In early 2020, Vikas allegedly housed Monu Dargar, Pradhan of Bahadurgarh, Cheema of Chandigarh and Rajan of Kurukshetra at his apartment in Lucknow Asylum. It was later revealed that he had been charged with 10 other criminal cases including murder, attempted murder, weapons offenses and gang crimes. He was tried before the Patiala House Court in New Delhi on June 21, 2023, where vacation judge Pawan Kumar sentenced Vikas to five days of police custody.

- He was also allegedly associated with the Shiv Prakash Shukla gang in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
- A violent brawl broke out between followers of Abhay Singh and followers of Vikas during the campaign for the 2022 UP Assembly elections, following which the police arrested both of them and made Each of them signed a bond of Rs 5 lakh.
