- In 2020, during the conflict between India and China in the Galwan Valley, Misri arranged various formal meetings between the two countries and stated at a press conference that the border issue must be a priority for both countries. He said,
For a long time, India and China have maintained a clear line between resolving border issues and managing border affairs. This is a source of tension at the border. We advocate resolving the boundary issue through peaceful negotiation. We do not believe that the boundary issue should be linked to our bilateral relations. “

- Vikram Misri learned different languages while representing India in other countries as an Indian envoy. He knows Hindi, English, Kashmiri, Spanish, Urdu, Punjabi and French. In an interview with a media outlet, he talked about being a polyglot. He said,
My mother tongue is Kashmiri. I can speak, read and write English and Hindi and have some knowledge of Punjabi and Urdu. Among foreign languages, I can speak, read and write French. I can still speak enough Spanish to survive on the streets and in supermarkets! “
