Vineet Sharma started his film career in 2000 playing the role of Gurdeep Singh in the film Mission Kashmir. In 2001, he played the role of Sugratra in the historical drama Ashoka. In 2003, he played Captain Sachin Annarao Nimbalkar in the war film LOC. : Kargil.
