In 2017, she worked as a maitre d’ at the North Indian restaurant ‘The Dhaba’ in Glasgow, UK. In 2018, she joined the family restaurant business ‘Vasudev Adigas Fastfood Private Limited’ in Bengaluru. She made her acting debut in the 2018 Kannada film ‘Ammachi Yemba Nenapu’, in which she played the role of Ammachi.
In 2021, Vyjayanthi participated in the popular television reality show Bigg Boss Kannada 8 as a wild card contestant.
However, she quit the show midway and was heavily criticised by ‘Bigg Boss Kannada 8’ host Sudeep Kichcha for it.
