The incident involved a black Mercedes driven by Doncaster resident Warren Powell, 39.
Powell’s car veered off the road at an intersection and crashed into a tree as he drove from Bawtry Golf Club in the direction of the Mount Pleasant Hotel. The police statement states that the exact moment of the collision is not yet known. Sadly, Warren Powell was pronounced dead at the scene when police arrived.
