What do you get when you gather five legendary soap stars under one roof? Drama, witty answers and lots of laughs.

In Lifetime’s upcoming original holiday movie Ladies of the 80s: A Diva’s Christmas — part of the “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” network’s annual seasonal lineup — daytime drama queens, acting WKRP in Cincinnatiis Loni Anderson, Falcon Crest‘s Morgan Fairchild, Dallasis Linda Gray, i Landing nodesDonna Mills and Nicollette Sheridan are reuniting to film the final Christmas episode of their soap opera Great Lakes.

In PEOPLE’s exclusive first look at the trailer, it’s clear that keeping the peace between Lily (Anderson), Margaux (Fairchild), Lauren (Gray), Dan (Mills) and Juliette (Sheridan) means settling old feuds and finally putting differences aside . It also doesn’t hurt to have something to distract you, like playing Cupid to soap producer Alex (Travis Burns) and director Nell (Taylor Ann Thompson).

As the five stars appear in front of the camera hand-in-hand with thousand-watt smiles, the host of the fictional celebrity news show Hollywood tonight offers commentary.

In the next scene, an ecstatic Lily is holding hands with Dan and Margaux, Lauren nearby. “This is going to be great, the four of us together,” Lily says.

But Dana grimaces when Juliette enters the picture, exiting a black SUV sporting sunglasses and a designer orange trench coat.

“If she works in a play, I don’t,” declares Dana.

“Fix your facelift, ladies. It will be a tough weekend,” declares Margaux.

Cutting to Alex and Nell together, Alex tells Nell that he’s “thrilled” that she’s available to direct the episode.

“Are you two the same thing?” Dana interjects.

“We’re friends from college,” Nell quickly explains.

“With privileges?” Dana continues.

“No,” Alex and Nell answer at the same time.

By the roaring fire, as she puts on her pajamas, Margaux offers Nell some advice. “You can’t always choose who you fall into,” she says.

“Listen to her. She had five husbands,” jokes Juliette.

“And I wouldn’t trade any of them. Well, maybe the latter,” adds Juliette.

Ladies of the 80s: A Diva’s Christmas also starring Christopher Atkins, Patrika Darbo, Alec Mapa and Mills’ daughter, Chloe Mills. The film also features a theme song performed by 80s pop star Tiffany.

While the holiday film promises no shortage of on-screen drama, Christie director Will Wolf tells PEOPLE that working with Anderson, Fairchild, Gray, Mills and Sheridan is a different story.

“Directing five of the most legendary actresses of the ’80s was truly an experience I will cherish forever,” she says. “A group film (with five of them in almost every scene and one location) is never easy. Timing was key to make sure the scenes worked – both for the comedy and the pacing. Loni, Morgan, Linda, Donna and Nicollette supported each other as any top actor would, and I felt blessed to have been brought into their inner circle… A circle built on tremendous trust and lots of laughter. ”

Getting on set was like “going back to the ’80s” for the director, who says the five actresses “never missed a beat and nailed every frame.”

Wolf adds, “It was funny to see everyone having so much fun faking the types of characters they were playing back then.”
