The animal was brutally injured in several places and lost sight in one eye. Something terrible happened in Florida that made people question humanity. Many of them called on the government to crack down on those who try to harm these innocent creatures. A young woman named Elizabeth Jaimess was filmed beating a husky named Maya with a rubber mallet. The incident caused the dog many injuries, including broken bones and loss of vision in one eye. Jaime’s boyfriend’s mother had a Siberian husky. She saw what happened on a hidden camera and called the police. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office shared the video.
The video shows Jaimes holding the dog’s leash with his left hand and hitting the defenseless animal with a rubber mallet with his right hand. In the video, Jaimes repeatedly struck the dog’s head with the hammer as the dog screamed in pain. She is accused of seriously injuring a 9-year-old Siberian husky named Maya and is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals. She did something wrong to an animal with a gun and was charged with a felony. On May 3, 2023, she spent a day in jail and got out paying $10,000. The court said that Jaimes was not allowed to go near the victim’s home, speak to the victim or the dog, and was required to undergo a mental health evaluation.
