Kenji Nagai was a veteran video journalist from Japan. The Japanese journalist was reportedly in Myanmar during a mass protest led by Buddhist monks in that country. The protest was against the military regime that ruled for 45 years and caused a drop in the country’s GDP. But unfortunately, a Japanese video journalist was killed during the protest. Meanwhile, Kenji Nagai’s family flew to Bangkok to return Kenji Nagai’s camera. “I think my brother jumped right into the tumult of the Saffron Revolution, convinced that he could help Myanmar if he told the world what was happening,” said his sister Norika. “I don’t even consider him a hero. even if he lost his life.
