Ant admitted he was “annoyed” at Dean for shouting ‘I’m a Celeb’ and quitting the task early – and was “unprofessional” in the way he handled it.
Unboxing presenter Joel Dommett said: “It will be so nice to see someone new in rehearsal tomorrow.”
Dec replied: “Also, Danny is determined, enthusiastic, so there’s no hiding for Dean – he’ll have to step up.”
Ant said: “You hope he raises his game a bit, I thought he would today.”
While Sam Thompson, who won the jungle show last year, admitted that he was disappointed with Dean’s effort.
He made a noise saying, “Fish entrails friends, he had a spider on his head.”
Annoyed Ant replied: “I told you not to talk to me about it Sam. My irritation came across the screen and it was quite unprofessional and I’m not happy about it.”
Dec said sarcastically, “I think you hid it well Ant…I think you hid it well.”
The ant continued, “You get to a point where you think ‘what are you doing?'”
He then admitted that he would “be kind to him [Dean] today… today I will be a good cop.”
I’m A Celeb fans spot clues Ant is ‘furious’ with Dean after failing Bushtucker trial
Radio 1 star Dean, 32, returned to camp last night, announcing he had only won four stars after the gruesome trial.
Earlier this week, viewers were convinced Ant was secretly furious with Dean after he timed Wednesday’s challenge and failed to secure any stars.
Ant, known for his playful banter with co-host Dec, appeared unusually stern, hinting at his frustration as he welcomed Dean to another trial, Lethal Lab.
He even warned Dean that he was the “bad cop” in their lead duo.
Dean’s upbeat demeanor after the trial seemed to catch Ant off guard.
As DJ threw himself into the clearing, Ant said jokingly, “Hi Dean. I didn’t expect that. I thought you’d be a bit lonely, a bit sad. You seem to be loving life. Have you been to the pub?”
Dean laughed, replying, “No, no, I just took a cold shower.”
Ant then took a more serious tone, confronting Dean about his recent failures, saying, “Now, Dean, I want to talk to you. What happened yesterday? No stars. What happened the day before? You said, ‘I I celebrity, get me out of here.'”
Dean admitted, “Oh, it’s not good, but that’s why I’m up for it today because we’re going to change the narrative.”
But Ant wouldn’t let him off the hook, retorting flatly: “You can only change the narrative if you stick to it and get on with it.”
The exchange left Dean stunned for a moment. “I feel like Ant and Dec are cheating on me,” he joked.
Ant quickly clarified, “Well, as far as I’m concerned,” while Dec interjected to reassure, “I’m a good cop.”
